Phoenix Summer Survival Tips

July 16, 2016

That time of year has come. You are beginning to question why you live in the desert. It is hot. It is hot in the middle of the night. The gorgeous winter weather and memories of what cold feels like are fading.

Will you survive? Yes, and we’re here to help with some survival tips.

  1. Seek water. Specifically, water contained in a pool. As luck would have it, we live in a tourist town and that means plenty of resorts. Resorts that have wicked good summer deals and pool parties. Take advantage of the off-season by taking a staycation or going to a pool party.

  2. Head north. In only a few hours you can be out of the desert and enjoying a respite from the heat.

  3. Pretend it is winter and go ice skating. AZ Ice has locations in Arcadia, Gilbert and Peoria and the Ice Den, home to the Phoenix Coyotes, is located in Scottsdale. Lace up those skates and revel in the frosty air.

  4. Come to a GET event for good company, appetizers and raffle prizes. This month we will be at Cien Agaves for GET to Meet on July 27. Now that is a #WednesdayWin.
