Getting to Give: 2016 Re-cap

December 4, 2016

With the giving season in full swing, we took a moment to reflect on the past year. One of the aspects of GET Phoenix that is special to us is working with and supporting local non-profits. Seeing how much our attendees give both in time and donations at each GET to Give event is continually inspiring.

This past year we have had the pleasure of supporting the following organizations:

  • PHX Renews – A Keep Phoenix Beautiful Project whose mission is to find temporary uses for vacant lots that will beautify the city while promoting sustainability and a sense of community.

  • Arizona Helping Hands – an organization that assists foster families who have stepped up to provide a safe, loving environment for children in the Department of Child Safety system.

  • Singleton Moms – an organization dedicated to nurturing single parents battling cancer and their minor children, by meeting the practical day-to-day needs of the entire family.

It is at these events that we truly see how dedicated, passionate and philanthropic Valley young professionals are. That is why we schedule our events each year to finish the year with a GET to Give in the spirit of the giving season.

This month we will be supporting Save the Family with clothing donations and by creating holiday cards for the homeless. The organization equips families to address poverty, overcome homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency.

Bring some clothes to donate (clothing accepted includes men/women and boys/girls), creativity and holiday cheer on December 14 to Kazimierz Wine Bar.  Register today.
