Event Roundup: November 2019



Young Professionals! We know you’re busy, and we know it can be overwhelming to look at your calendar and see just how many awesome, insightful events are coming up that you want to go to, but may not have the time. That’s why each month, we’ll hand pick a few events for young professionals in and around the valley for you to consider - including our own, of course!


Events in the Valley: November 2019


When: November 20th

Where: CO+HOOTS

This workshop will teach you a unique approach to content creation—personal storytelling on LinkedIn—so you can build relationships, broaden your reach, and boost your revenue. You will walk out of this workshop with an action plan for the next 10-15 pieces of story-driven content you can create and share on LinkedIn to stand out from the competition and be memorable in a noisy world.


When: November 5th

Where: The Churchill

Join local business leaders Kate Rooney (Marketing Director, Design Pickle), Tracy Hupko (Sales & Marketing, LPGA; Owner, Studio 8), and Grace Perry (Owner, Gracie’s Tax Bar) as they discuss breaking barriers, advancing in their industries, and tricks of the trade at The Churchill. Come for the free drink (registration required), stay for the knowledge and connections.

Where: The Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center

The Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA) is bringing together emerging and established leaders to focus on how to become “the place to be” for the next generation of doers, makers, thinkers and innovators to advance their lives and our communities across the state.


When: November 7th

Where: Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park

The indoor and outdoor spaces of the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park will be transformed into a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration to benefit Kids in Focus, a nonprofit organization using photography to impact and change the lives of Phoenix’s most at-risk youth. Guests will be surrounded by breathtaking views of Papago Park and can participate in a silent auction and raffle filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences and powerful photographs created by the children in Kids in Focus programs. This is sure to be the event everyone is talking about so don't miss out!


When: November 7th

Where: Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport North

Darlene K. Gee, PE is Vice-President and Northern California District Leader with HNTB Corporation. Darlene will share the networking strategies she has honed over the course of her career and share her secrets on how to network. Following her presentation, there will be an informal networking session to put those strategies into practice!


When: November 16th

Where: Old Town Scottsdale

Put on your pajamas (or keep them on from the night before) and meet us for the third annual Scottsdale Pajama Bar Crawl on November 16th! Join us as we make our way through Old Town together in an old school style bar crawl. The Crawl starts at 2:00 p.m., includes FIVE FREE DRINKS, drink specials at every stop along the way, and you get to party in your jammies! We’ll be hitting up all your favorite bars, including Boondocks Patio & Grill, Giligin’s Bar, Three Wisemen, and Casa Amigos from 1:00-7:00 p.m.

Where: Phoenix Public Market

Together, we celebrate the farmers who make a market like ours possible and enjoy an evening of food, music, and community held in the heart of Phoenix. PHX Pheast is a true farm-to-fork experience and reflection of the finest food from the best farmer’s market in the Valley. We hope you will join us in support of Arizona farmers.

Where: W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU

Join us for an evening focused on using your science skills in the business world. Network with alumni and corporate professionals working in the science and medical industries. Learn about career options by coupling your science background with business.


When: November 22nd

Where: Celebrity Theater

If you’re looking for some inspiration, Daniel Habif is your guy. With millions of followers and views on Youtube, it’s no wonder that Habif has earned a solid rep as one of the most influential Spanish-speaking social leaders around. Get some much-needed motivation when Habif comes to Celebrity Theatre.
