Note from the President

Hello!

My name is Cailean Bailey and I am the GET Phoenix President for 2019.

I first want to thank everyone for your continued support of GET Phoenix Young Professionals. We’ve had a wonderful year so far, and we look forward to seeing you at future events.

Second, I would like to take a moment to recognize our Board for all their hard work. We have an amazing group of talented individuals who volunteer their time to make sure that our events are fun and well-attended. This year we have forged new partnerships and sponsorships to reach untapped audiences and create new opportunities for our members to get further involved in our growing community.

This has truly been an epic year for GET. We have experienced tremendous growth not only in the number of new members and attendees, but also in our expansion from adding new venues to new philanthropic partners!

One of the Board’s primary goals this year was to expand into new areas. Fortunately for us, Phoenix is growing exponentially and so is our economy, so we’ve engaged wonderful new event sponsors such as Bevi, while exploring new event locations such as Angel’s Trumpet Ale House - Arcadia and Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen. Further, we have continued to expand on our GET to Learn location sites by exploring The Emerald, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them. Last month we celebrated five consecutive years partnering with AZ Helping Hands for our GET to Give events, while back in March we engaged with a new philanthropic partner called E3 Africa. And, we’ve been able to document our efforts even better with the help of our Photography Sponsor, Tim Chow Studio.

We have a few very exciting events on the horizon, so I encourage you to monitor our social media channels closely for some big announcements.

Our next event is back at one of our frequent GET to Meet spots, Wasted Grain in Old Town Scottsdale. We hope to see you on Wednesday, July 31st, where we will be raffling off a gift certificate to Wasted Grain as well as two Phoenix Rising game tickets for their August 10th home match.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to join GET Phoenix, if you have a partnership, guest speaker recommendation or if you want to get involved with the Board of Directors!

Sincerely,

Cailean Bailey
